All Have Sinned

The Bible teaches that all have sinned:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“As it is written, ‘There is none righteous, not even one'”. Romans 3:10

The Wages of Sin is Death

Because of sin we all stand condemned before God:
“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23a
“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God…” Isaiah 59:2a

God sent His Son to die on the cross for our sin

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Ephesians 2:8-9
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Repent and Believe on Jesus

All that God requires of us to receive salvation is to turn away from our sin and believe on Jesus Christ
“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 16:31

To receive salvation it is as simple as receiving a gift. You must simply recognize you are a sinner, believe that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins, and believe that Jesus died and rose and again and confess Him as your Lord and Savior. You can pray something like this

“Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Your only begotten Son to earth to die for my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for my sins and I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and I receive Him right now as my Lord and Savior and I choose to follow Him. Thank you Jesus for saving me, Amen.”
